Are findings from an independent CAMO audit reported to the authority?

No. An independent CAMO audit is a confidential service to your organisation. Findings are reported exclusively to you. The only exception would be an immediate and serious flight safety risk, which would be discussed with your Accountable Manager in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Can the CAMO audit scope be limited to specific areas?

Yes. The Targeted Area Audit format is specifically designed for focused independent assessment of one or more CAMO functions such as records management, AD management, SMS implementation, subcontractor control or compliance monitoring programme effectiveness.
